Gemma suffers from severe dementia; she had a stroke little over a year ago, which resulted in her being paralysed on one side. She has poor mobility and doesn’t remember anyone. Our trained home care personnel visit Gemma 6 times a day to assist her with medication, personal care, drinks and meals along with companionship.

They understand the importance of companionship and encouragement, ensuring Gemma to lead as normal of a life as possible. . A tailored care plan was put into place by the dementia team. Within a few weeks Gemma was accepting of personal care and eating regularly. Aman Care have arranged for her to go along to a day centre one day a week. The dementia senior carer initially went with her but left her alone once settled. Now Gemma can get some normality in her life.
